KITALE-Four elected leaders from Trans Nzoia have accused the government of letting down farmers by delaying delivery of subsidised fertiliser. Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi, Kiminini's Chris Wamalwa, David Wafula of Saboti and Trans Nzoia women representative Janet Nangabo said delays in delivery of the fertiliser will affect food production.
"The ministry of Agriculture has let us down. Farmers should be top dressing maize but subsidised DAP is inadequate," said Wanyonyi.The leaders spoke in Kitale over the weekend during the burial ceremony of Mzee Lazarus Wekesa.
