Kenya: Kibaki Confident in Uhuru's Government

Immediate former president of Republic of Kenya Mwai Kibaki has expressed faith in the incoming government. In his speech during the inauguration ceremony of Uhuru Kenyatta at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani. Kibaki referred to the incoming government of Uhuru and Ruto as "Kenya's dynamic duo." "I am happy to pass the torch of leadership to the new generation of leaders", said Kibaki.

Kibaki also thanked his family and all Kenyans for the support they had given him throughout his tenure in office. He cited various achievements his government, together with the help of other stakeholders had achieved in building the country's economy.
