Zambia: Dirty Surroundings

This is sad yet true. Most of our surroundings are quite dirty. May have other good qualities but cleanliness is not one of them.

It is a common feat to find overgrown grass both in people's homes and public places, or rubbish pits that are running over or people throwing litter in public.

The same can be said about urinating or spitting in public.

How many offices are well maintained? How many markets are beauty to behold? Or how many bus stations are pleasant to the eye?

There are two main reasons why we could settle for dirty environments. Either we do not appreciate beauty or we are simply lazy! I pray we chose neither. Chopo Mwanza
