Nigeria: Ogun Assembly Approves N16.6 Billion Loan For Capital Projects, UBEC

Ogun State House of Assembly yesterday passed the two resolutions requesting for approval to obtain internal loans of N15 billion from GTB Plc to further the various Ogun Standard projects across the State and N1.6 billion counterpart funding loan for UBEC from ECOBANK Nigeria limited.

Opening the debate in support of the loan request through a motion moved by the majority leader Hon. Israel Jolaoso and seconded by Hon. Salmon Adeleke while that of UBEC was seconded by Bowale Solaja, Jolaoso stressed the need for the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led-government to continue with the on- going development projects across the State, saying that the Assembly had earlier between the assembly and Finance ministry on modalities for repayment.
