Gambia: University of Amsterdam Presents Cheque for 450 Euros to GAPD

The students of the University of Amsterdam, who are currently on a week long visit in the country, on Monday presented a cheque for 450 Euros to The Gambia Association of Physically Disabled (GAPD). The presentation ceremony was held at GAPD office in Brikama, West Coast Region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abdoulie Jawneh, the president of GAPD, expressed delight at receiving the donation and warmly welcomed the students of the University of Amsterdam. He explained that the objectives of their organisation include advocating for the prevention of physical disabilities, and for the full participation of persons with physical disability, in all forms of activity in society.
