Tanzania: Z'bar Keen On Boosting Tourism for All Policy

Zanzibar — ZANZIBAR is encouraging the formation of tourism committees in all districts in a quest to popularise the 'tourism for all' policy in the islands, the minister responsible for tourism, Mr Said Ali Mbarouk, has said.

"The tourism Act (No. 7 of 2012) indicates that district tourism committees are responsible for promoting tourism at all levels and share benefits," said the minister when answering a question from Ms Fatma Mbarouk Said. Ms Fatma wanted to know how tourism has been benefiting people, including supporting development projects.
