Kenya: Kimaiyo to Meet Top Police Officers for Security Review

Inspector General of police David Kimaiyo has summoned a meeting of senior police officers in Nairobi this morning to examine their operations during the just concluded general election. The meeting will take place at the CID Pavilion in Nairobi.

The meeting will also discuss the rise in crime incidents in the country. Officials say the meeting will be attended by all PPOs and other formation commanders will be used to gauge their strengths and weaknesses in the polls and help in future planning. The Police received praises from various parties over the manner in which they handled the pre and post election period.
