Djibouti's Council of Ministers approved a series of laws on Tuesday (April 16th), including the authorisation of a 533-million franc ($3-million) loan from the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to benefit entrepreneurial enterprises, the Djiboutian Information Agency reported.
The OPEC funds will support Djibouti's Economic Development Fund, which finances small and medium enterprises, trains young entrepreneurs, and sponsors private-sector initiatives to reduce poverty and unemployment.
