Western Sahara: President of Republic Attends Funeral of Former Algerian President of the High State Committee Ali Kafi

Algiers — The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz on Wednesday attended the funeral of the former Algerian President of the High State Committee Ali Kafi who passed away on Tuesday morning at age of 85 years.

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and his Saharawi counterpart and senior Algerian officials, members of the government, national and foreign personalities, and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria, as well as the family and comrades of the deceased were present at the funeral.

The Saharawi President was accompanied by a large delegation composed of Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Oumar, Minster counselor to Presidency Mohamed Lamin Ahmed, Saharawi Ambassador to Algeria, Brahim Ghali and adviser to Presidency Abdati Braika.

The deceased was buried Wednesday at the Square of the Martyrs Cemetery El Alia (Algiers).
