Luanda — Angola is in a stage of epidemiological transition in which the communicable diseases are reducing whereas the non-communicable illnesses are increasing, compelling the government to face this double problem.
This was said to Angop on Monday by the co-ordinator of the Angolan society of tropical medicine, Josenando Teófilo, at the opening act of the second national congress of tropical medicine of Portugal, held by the hygiene and tropical medicine institute of the New University of Lisbon.
