South Africa: National Assembly's Info Bill Committee Accepts and Incorporates NCOP Amendments Into Bill

The National Assembly's Ad Hoc Committee on the Protection of State Information Bill has accepted the proposals from the National Council of Provinces and will incorporate the amendments into the Bill.

The Committee met today to consider the proposed amendments from the NCOP. All members of the Committee appreciated the excellent work done by the NCOP on the Bill. It must be pointed out that the Democratic Alliance and the African Christian Democratic Party have indicated that they will reject the Bill in the House.
