Egypt: Army Compensates Victims in Collapse of Bridge-Under-Construction

The spokesperson for the Egyptian military Colonel Ahmed Ali said the Army will make up for the families of four people who were killed Saturday evening in a construction accident in Souq El-Obour area in the Nasr City district of Cairo.

Four passengers of a microbus were killed and six others injured when a "solid body" fell from a pedestrian bridge, which is being built by a civilian construction company contracted by the Armed Forces. Ali said that the Army, which manages numerous construction projects around the country, will open an immediate investigation into the accident.
