Angola: Mosquito-Nets Distribution Campaign Starts Thursday

Luanda — About seven million mosquito-nets with insecticide will be distributed throughout a mass campaign, whose official launch is set for Thursday, in Mbanza Congo, Zaire province, Angop has learnt.

The act is part of the commemorations of the world day of fighting against malaria, April 25, that will take place under the motto Sleep always under treated mosquito net and protect your against malaria.

The adviser of communication with the national programme of fighting against malaria, Jaime Molossandi, the first phase of the campaign started in February this year in the provinces of Zaire, Malanje and Kwanza-Norte.

The campaign in the other provinces starts in June. In 2012, Angola recorded 3,026,125 cases of malaria against the 3,501,935 of the previous year.
