Liberia: 2014 Bong Senatorial Race - Challengers, Incumbents Face Major Hurdles

Kokoyah District, Bong County - During this very month in 2011 while contesting for the senatorial seat, Henry Yallah was being branded as "an underdog" in a race that comprised former Bong County superintendent Ranney Jackson, former Forestry Development Authority lawyer Cllr. Benedict Sagbeh and Cuttington University's former accountant Augustus Flomo.

Yallah, a former student leader in Bong and chairman of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), obtained 29,804 votes, becoming the youngest senator in the history of the county.
