Namibia: New Vistas Open in Sino-Namibia Relations

THE government yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding various fish exports and fish oil to China with the General Administration, Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of the Republic of China in Windhoek.

The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Lempy Lucas, and the visiting Vice-Minister of the AQSIQ, Yang Gang (R). At the occasion, the Chinese delegation said their country has no qualms with Namibia exporting fish and fish products, but various issues regarding health and safety must still be resolved.
