Zambia: Court Rejects Mutembo's Evidence Against Rupiah

Chief Resident Magistrate Joshua Banda on Tuesday rejected Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito's fabricated evidence which came in the form of a photocopy letter by a Zambia Police officer.

Banda refused to admit a copy of a letter by (witness one) PW1 detective inspector Derrick Kasonka as part of his evidence because it failed to satisfy the court on the need to admit secondary evidence. The letter was allegedly authored by former president Rupiah Banda when he was president of Zambia.
