Kenya: Two Cops, Civilians Charged With Robbing Angote

Two police officers and two civilians were yesterday charged in a Nairobi court with violent robbery. The two are charged with violently robbing former judge Grace Nzioka and Lands PS Dor- othy Angote. Senior principal magistrate Lucy Mbugua ordered constable Gibson Wahome, a regular police, Samuel Machua, an AP, John Kiguro and Simon Ng'ang'a to be supplied with witnesses state- ments before the hearing of the case on May 31.

The prosecution led by chief inspector Daniel Musangi consolidated the charges against the accused persons who were initially charged separately with the same offences. The two policemen were first charged at Kibera law courts for allegedly robbing Angote.
