Somalia: Another Delegation Withdraws From the Kismayu Meeting

Kismayu (sh.M.Network) Istin Hassan Bass who is among the delegates attending the Kismayu meeting has informed Shabelle radio that he and his crew have withdrawn from the meeting. He said the meeting was attended by local community elders but a lot of them have abandoned the meeting after learning that the meeting was organized by a superior organ.

He said that the local leaders were not allowed to voice their opinions and instructions came from unknown sources within the delegation.

The number of delegates abandoning the meeting is increasing as days go by and the situation of the meeting is still in a stalemate condition.

The meeting was intended to form an administration for the two Juba regions and Gedo region in South Somalia.
