Nigeria: Adamawa Emirate Scribe, District Head Again Remanded in Prison

Yola — The Secretary of Adamawa Emirate Council Alhaji Umaru Yahaya and the District Head of Girei Alhaji Mahmud Abba, who are standing trial on alleged misappropriation of funds, should remain in prison until next week, a Yola chief magistrate court ordered yesterday.

Chief Magistrate Hindatu Lamorde said the two should be remanded in prison until Tuesday, 30 April 2013, when she is expected to rule on fresh bail applications they filed at the court yesterday.
