Nigeria: Adamawa Rehabilitates Border Town Roads, Schools

Yola — The Adamawa State government has commenced rehabilitation of roads, schools and primary health care centers in its communities located around the borders. This, it was gathered, is in line with Governor Murtala Nyako's border communities development program, aimed at spreading development across the state. The state's Commissioner for Border Integration and Development, Alh.Hamza A.Bello, said the government wants people living in border towns to realize that they are bona-fide residents of the state and that they have obligations to the state.

On the area of security, he said the government provides logistic support to police and other security operatives manning border areas.
