South Africa: Justice Must Be Done for the Families of Eight Pupils Who Died in KZN Bus Accident

press release

The IFP is distraught at the tragic death of eight pupils who died in a bus accident near Ulundi in KwaZulu-Natal. IFP Spokesperson on Transport, Mr. Petros Sithole MP, said, "It is devastating to hear of our children dying on our roads whilst they are on the way to and from schooling activities. In this incident, it has been reported that negligent driving was the primary cause of the accident. If this is so, we trust that the driver will be held to account for the death of these children. Justice must be done for the families that have lost their children."

The IFP sends its sincere condolences to the families and friends of the eight pupils at this difficult time. "Losing a child is a devastating thing for any parent. We wish the families strength and pray that God gives them comfort. We also urge all drivers transporting pupils to always be extra vigilant on the roads," Sithole concluded.
