Gambia: NCAC to Participate in Clap Ivoire Film Festival 2013

The National Center for Arts and Culture under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture says filmmakers in the Gambia are invited to participate in the upcoming Clap Ivoire Film Festival 2013 to be held in September this year at Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Speaking with this reporter on Tuesday, Hassoum Ceesay, director of copyright, said the festival is aimed at scouting and nurturing young filmmakers, with a view to making film and cinema a tool for national development.

Mr Ceesay said all aspiring and amateur filmmakers residing in The Gambia are qualified to enter for the film festival. He said the films including fictions and, documentaries should not be more than 13 minutes and that the film must not be older than 2 years. The film should be a commercial product and must be subtitled in French," Ceesay revealed.
