Tanzania: Using Rice to Rise Above Poverty Line in Kilimanjaro

Same — RICE is a farm produce which seems to slowly, but surely replacing Maize as common household staple in Tanzania and other East African countries and in the process, it also transform lives in Same District of Kilimanjaro.

The power of rice comes from the fact that, the cereal can be cooked and served in variety of ways thus removing the dinnertable monotony even if the same rice was to be eaten for the whole week in the family. When simply boiled, Rice becomes 'Ubwabwa,' a popular morning meal.
