Eritrea: Students and Staff Members of Halai Secondary School Extend Financial Support to Families of Martyrs

Asmara — Students and staff members of Halai Secondary School, Asmara, have extended a total of 24,000 Nakfa to 4 families of martyrs.

Mr. Gilai Fisehatsion, director of the school, explained that such initiative was taken during previous academic year according to students' goodwill, and that the current support is a continuation of that. He also said that a gesture of this type attests to the readiness of the young generation as regards honoring the trust of martyrs.

Among the beneficiaries, Mr. Goitom Tesfagabir and Mr. Haile Debas expressed satisfaction with the backing, and lauded the government and communities for their sustained support.

Ms. Akberet Azaria from the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare's branch in the Central region commended the initiative taken by the students and school staff members, and called on fellow students to emulate it.
