Nigeria: 'Oil Theft Is Conspiracy Against the People'

Lagos — The massive theft of crude oil in the Niger Delta is a conspiracy by some top government officials, their military and foreign collaborators to short-change the larger Nigerian population, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Abdulwahed Omar, has said.

Omar, who spoke in Lagos at the weekend at the special delegates conference of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas(NUPENG) for the review of its constitution, tasked the unions in the oil sector to expose, frustrate and stop the continual theft of the nation's crude oil.
