Tanzania: Doctor Says Sumbawanga's 'Dead Woman' Is Mentally Ill

Nkasi — THE mysterious woman who had been declared dead five years ago before being seen alive walking in the streets of Sumbawanga town in Rukwa Region two weeks ago, has now been diagnosed with mental illness .

The woman who was earlier admitted to the Rukwa Regional Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), has now been transferred to the psychiatric unit at the regional health facility for treatment.The hospital's Medical Doctor in-charge, Dr Gasper Nduasinde told the "Sunday News" over the phone that after systematic medical observations, she has been diagnosed with mental illness and formally started treatment.
