Namibia: Standard Bank Prepared for Impact of Drought

Namibia is currently experiencing the worst drought in 14 years. Recognising the severe impact the current drought situation could have on the agricultural sector and economy, Standard Bank expresses its commitment to support its customers and communities in which it operates during this difficult period.

In view of this, Standard Bank has already taken a proactive step in identifying clients that might need special attention during the drought period. Head of Commercial, Regional and Agriculture Department Herman Coetzee states that Standard Bank is prepared to assist clients by providing advice and structuring their loan facilities to enable them to repay their loans.
