Kenya: Kwale Sacco Members Demand Dues

Neptune Sacco members are demanding Sh2.8 million owed to the Sacco by their employer Neptune Hotel. Speaking to journalists in Diani yesterday, the group of 41 shareholders, mainly junior workers of the hotel, say they have not been paid their dividends since 2007.

Led by their spokesperson Moses Mateche, the group accused the Sacco management of misappropriation of funds. The management, through a letter, however defended itself saying there was a decrease in monthly check-offs after most members resigned because of the 2008 poll violence.
