Western Sahara: Cuba Condoles Saharawi President On Passing Away of Khalil Sid Mhamad

Habana — The sisterly Republic of Cuba sent, through José R. Balaguer Cabrera, Member of the Secretariat and Head of International Relations Department of Cuba's Communist Party, a message of condolence to the President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, following the passing away of Khalil Sid Mhamad, head of POLISARIO political branches secretariat.

José Ramón conveyed, in the letter a copy of it reached Friday SPS, on behalf of the PCC his condolences to the Saharawi people and authorities, renewing Cuba's Communist Party's firm position of support to the right of Saharawi people to self-determination.

The letter underlined that the deceased devoted his entire to serve the Saharawi cause, adding that his legacy "will serve to pave the way for new generations of revolutionaries."

"We reiterate that the Communist Party of Cuba will remain true to its principles of solidarity and unrestricted support to the right of Saharawi people to achieve independence and freedom," pointed out Mr. José Ramón.
