Kenya: Jua Kali Fall to University Side in Uasin Gishu Duel

HOSTS University of Eldoret humiliated Jua Kali 4-1 in their first match of the season as FKF Uasin Gishu County league was launched over the weekend. Eldoret opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Emmanuel Komen with Erick Alila making it two in the 62nd minute.

In the 76th minute, Kimutai Tele pulled one back for Jua Kali but Komen responded with two more goals in the 84th and 86th to complete a hat-trick and end the match 4-1 in favour of University lads.

University of Eldoret coach Nehemiah Sang said the team is currently enjoying top form and are focused on winning the league.

" We played well and we hope to intensify our training because we are aware it is not going to be easy," said Sang. His Jua Kali counterpart, Clement Bulinda, blamed the defeat on lack of morale and concentration among his players.
