THE Supreme Court has ruled that President Michael Sata was within the law to appoint a tribunal to probe the conduct of three judges he suspended last year.
Delivering a four-hour judgment yesterday, acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda, on behalf of a bench of seven judges, ruled that President Sata did not breach his Constitutional powers when he suspended the trio and the subsequent setting up of the tribunal.
