Egypt: Police Detain Activist Ahmed Maher At Cairo Airport
10 May 2013
Egyptian police forces at Cairo International Airport detained activist Ahmed Maher upon his return from the United States of America on Friday, activists said.
Maher is one of the founders of the pro-revolution "April 6" movement which played a large role in the 2011 uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak.
The Egyptian authorities did not reveal the reason for detaining Maher, ONTV reported an April 6 spokesman as saying.
