Kenya: Meru Petitioner Accuses Munya

A poll petitioner has accused Meru governor Peter Munya of trying to bribe him. Lawrence Mwenda, who sued on behalf of Kilemi Mwiria, said several emissaries of Munya have approached him to drop the charges in exchange for money.

The petition is expected to go to full trial next Wednesday and Justice Aaron Makau has pledged to make his ruling within a month.
