Nigeria: Subsidy Trial - EFCC Accuses Marketers of Not Remitting Fuel as Paid for

Lagos — At the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused three oil marketers of not importing petroleum products for which they received N963.7 million subsidy payment.

The marketers, Adamu Maula, George Ogbonna and Emmanuel Morah are being prosecuted alongside their firms, Downstream Energy Resources Limited and Rocky Energy Limited. The over eight-count charge border on conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretences, forgery and altering.
