Kenya: Buruburu and Arya Rock On League Debut

METROPOLITAN school finalists Buru Buru Girls and Parklands Arya posted easy wins in the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) Provincial league at Railways Club.

Buru torched Zetech College 52-17 in a one-sided match. The Nairobi county secondary schools champs had 16 points from Brenda Nawiri and another 11 from Gloria Awuor.

Parklands Arya on the other hand, also made grand debut as they hit seasoned Predators 60-31 in another women's duel. Jackline Tinega and Sandra Anzemo posted 14 points each while Pamela Ikonga recorded 11.

Multi Media University stifled Mount Kenya University MKU) Nairobi run with a 62-54 win as Henry Diego registered 17 points and Roy Onyango nailed 13 for losers.

Baraka Xtreme mixed run continued as they tasted a yet another 54-59 loss at the hands of Dunkind Academy. James Matyang nailed 12 points for Dunkind and Amos Wachira grabbed 14 for the losers.

Technical University of Kenya (TUK) beat Neosasa Morans 39-23 in a low scoring match. Robert Simiyu nailed 12 points for TUK while Samuel Wekesa bagged 9 for Morans. MKU Thika clobbered Upper Hill school 64-55.
