Parents' role from day one has always been to protect their child; I suppose this arises from the many in-built animal instincts that man harbours.
And the question that pops up from time to time is whether a parent can ever be overprotective so much so that it eventually does more harm than good. Is there even such a thing as overprotection? And the answer to this is yes, there is such a thing as overprotection.
