El Fasher — Security authorities in North Darfur have prohibited the movement of consumer goods and fuel - even matches - from El Fasher to Zamzam camp. The decision was announced on Saturday without any clear explanation given.

Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that security authorities started implementing the decision on Saturday around 12.00pm. "Security officials stopped anyone who was carrying goods or fuel and ordered them to return to El Fasher. We have no idea of the motivation behind this move," the witness said.
