I was determined to pass through Nasarawa State in spite of the trouble that I knew would be a clear and present danger on that road. A nice young man was getting married in Makurdi and I was obliged to be there.
When the news of 25, or 35 or 88 or 100 policemen (depending one what medium you got your news from) hit the waves, I was as concerned as anyone else. And depressed too. I shared the news on my Facebook page, and someone suggested I should only pass through Nasarawa if I have 'native fortifications'. I thanked him for his kind advice and announced that I would proceed with only God by my side.
