Kenya: United Fan Carnerio Is Fantasy Football Winner

Colin Carnerio, a father of two and a marketing manager at Mabati Rolling Limited is the lucky Stars Fantasy Football monthly winner of Sh50,000.

Carnerio who resides in Lavington, Nairobi, says he has been participating in other football competitions and when he saw the fantasy football advert in the Star, he did not hesitate to join.

The Manchester United fan feels the combination of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney enabled United to win the 2012-2013 English Premier League title.

"It is really amazing how the two footballers are playing, their combination is really amazing. I believe Man U will shock many teams next season, Van Persie has really changed our winning formation," he said.

The marketing manager at Mabati Rolling says the player has changed the team from just being football players to a brand name.

He further added that in his marketing department, the Star circulation is constant and everyone loves the newspaper. "The newspaper has a 360 degree coverage which covers accurate local and international news," he adds.

According to Carnerio, he says he will use part of the money to buy sporting kit for himself and donate the rest of the money to his welfare to assist needy children.
