From several quarters, Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, has received accolades for his performance since he assumed office. His commitment to ensure that the people feel the impact of government is more noticeable in the area of security where he has been able to restore peace in a state previously wracked by violence, kidnapping and gangsterism.

Also, his key projects in the education sector have been hailed as one of the best in the country. While he promised to build 250 primary schools by June this year, he has completed about 150 so far with tens of others at various stages of completion. But the attraction is the quality of the schools, the environment and the furnishing. All the schools are equipped with ICT facilities.
