Niger: Al-Qaeda Revenge Attacks Kill Civilians

Nouakchott — Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and its affiliates are now seeking revenge for the February killing of terrorist Abdelhamid Abou Zeid at the hands of the French army.

On Friday (May 24th), the Signed-In-Blood Battalion and the Movement for Tawhid and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO) claimed responsibility for twin suicide car bombings in Niger at a military camp in Agadez and a French-operated uranium mine in Arlit.
