The good harvests at some of government's green scheme projects in the Kavango and Caprivi regions have government contemplating the erection of more silos to store surplus grain.
Currently all silos in the two regions are filled to capacity, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Lempy Lucas, confirmed to New Era yesterday after her visit to the area a week ago. "If things continue like this, we will be forced to construct more silos for grain production," said Lucas who could not hide her joy as a result of the good harvests at most of the government projects.
