Kenya: Former KBC Boss Opposed
By Jesse Mwangi, 31 May 2013
A petition has been filed to stop the appointment of former KBC boss David Waweru to the Murang'a executive committee. George Kinyua said Waweru is not suitable to hold public office because of his past record. Kinyua said Waweru caused his business to collapse.
He said he rented a business premises from Waweru who locked it up claiming he had accumulated Sh30,000 rent arrears. Kinyua filed a case with the rent tribunal which ordered Waweru to open the building. Waweru has, however, defied the order.
