Sudan/Zambia: We Are Happy With the Result, Says Sudan's Ali Idris

interview

Sudan snatched a 1-1 draw against Zambia when Salah Ibrahim Hassan's 70th minute strike proved decisive as he became the first international foreign player to score at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium. For Sudan captain Saif Eldin Ali Idris, the draw is a good sign of things to come for a team their coach says is being prepared for 2015 and beyond.

In games against Norway, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Uganda, Zambia has never lost or conceded a goal at Levy Mwanawasa which was opened in June 2012. Ali Idris reckons that a gutsy performance by his team against tough home opposition will further strengthen them and make them look to the future with greater optimism. Cafonline.com talks to him.
