Kenya: Roads Tender to Be Probed

MOMBASA: The transport and infrastructure county executive committee member Mohamed Abbas has asked for an immediate investigation into the roads tendering process.

Abbas said most roads are in poor condition yet unqualified contractors continue securing tenders.

He was speaking during the launch of the Integrated Public Complaints Referral Mechanism.

ICPRM brings together Transparency International, Kenya National Commission on Human rights, National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, National Cohesion and Integration Commission and Commission on Administrative Justice.
