The medical staff at the Kenyatta National Hospital have staged a strike at the hospital premises protesting failure by the KNH management to pay salary increments and allowances that the staff were awarded by the Industrial Court earlier this year.
Kenya Union of Domestic Hotels Educational Institutions Hospitals Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA) executive board member Obuya Obengo said that the management has failed to implement the 46 per cent salaries increment as well as the 23 per cent house allowance Justice Onesmus Makau awarded the union.
