Malawi: Children Ask Parents and Chiefs to End Child Abuses

Nkhata Bay — Children in Nkhata Bay District have asked parents, and chiefs to stop harmful cultural and social practices that infringe their rights and instead encourage the children to go to school.

Ester Msiska of Chikale Primary School made the remarks on behalf of all children in Nkhata Bay district during the commemoration of the Day of the African Child at Bwelero primary school in the district on Saturday.
