Malawi: Impact Study By Fairtrade Foundation Launched in Malawi

press release

In April Malawi producers launched the recently released impact study by Fairtrade Foundation, "Branching Out." The study was the second part of a longitudinal study commissioned by Fairtrade Foundation in Malawi and completed by the National Resources Institute, London. The research was conducted within the Fairtrade tea, sugar and groundnut sectors in the country.

The purpose of the launch event in Malawi was to officially present the findings of the study to all relevant stakeholders in the country, discuss the key cross cutting issues and recommendations detailed in the report and to identify next steps that could be taken by producer organisations, the Malawi Fairtrade Network, Fairtrade Africa and Fairtrade Foundation.
