Tanzania: U.S. Boosts Support for Anti-Wildlife Trafficking Campaign

Washington — The war against international wildlife trafficking is escalating as President Obama announces new resources and strong resolve to protect species threatened by illegal hunters.

The U.S. president made the announcement July 1 in Tanzania, the final stop on his trip to Africa. "The entire world has a stake in making sure that we preserve Africa's beauty for future generations," Obama said in a press appearance with Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete.
