The Vice Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Prof. Femi Mimiko, has expressed the institution's readiness to invest in the modern processing of locust beans, popularly known as iru, for commercial purposes.
Mimiko disclosed the institution's plan while responding to a locust beans processing sponsorship request from the Olu-Supare of Supare Akoko, Oba Adejoro Adedeji, and a member of the Business Advisory Board (BAB) of the AAUA team of 'Entrepreneurs in Action for the Greater Good' (ENACTUS), Mr. Jeffrey Abidoye, who visited him.
